Absorb creek sounds with firepit & hot tub overlooking water. Relaxing & invigorating. Fishing, hiking, waterfalls & lake nearby. 12 min to town with cafes, shops, breweries & activities. Smoky Mountains at its best. Fast and reliable internet from Starlink. This spacious 3 bed/2 bath sleeps 8 adults. There are 2 levels to the house that are accessible and available to all guests. The entire home is available to you except the basement. No one lives there but it has a separate entrance and is not setup to offer the top notch 5-star experience like the rest of the house. There are 2 separate areas to park. Multiple cars and motorcycles can fit comfortably, as well as trailers. You do NOT need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get to the house or to park in the driveways.

Franklin, North Carolina is famous for hiking, fishing, driving and beautiful mountain scenery year round. It offers country mountain roads, abundant fishing, gem mining and a small town feel with amenities galore. The "downtown" part of Franklin has supermarkets, shops, cafes, breweries, arcade, movie theater, and more. Creekside Basecamp is just 13 minutes away from town and situated on a paved mountain road (NC scenic byway) surrounded by nothing but trees and water so you'll be fully immersed in nature. Sonos speakers placed throughout the house are connected to an iPad so you can stream music. Stream TV or we have hundreds of DVDs and board games to choose from. Upon booking you'll get access to 2 welcome guidebooks with details, instructions and tips for the house and the Western North Carolina area. DOGS
Larger trained dogs are allowed. Please contact me with the weight, breed and age of your dog to confirm pet accommodations and fees. This is not a typical cabin in the woods. It's clean. It's fresh. It's recently renovated and nicely furnished. It's close to town (10-15 minutes) and feels very private. Hike directly across the street from the property or drive a couple minutes up the road to see beautiful waterfalls and trails (details included in the guidebook).

Do you have EV charging stations?
We do not have EV chargers at the house but there are a handful of charging locations within 15 minutes. You may also plug-in your vehicle to an outdoor outlet at the house.
Are food delivery services available?
Yes, Door Dash is available for meal delivery service to Creekside Basecamp in Franklin, NC. If you'd like to skip the grocery run on arrival day, Ingles Supermarket offers online ordering. We're happy to pick up your order and bring it to the house (small service fee applies). Just message us ahead of time to set it up.
What is the pet policy?
We allow large dogs. The pet fee is $240 for up to 2 dogs. Please let us know if you have more than 2 dogs. Please contact us with the breed, age and weight of your dog(s) prior to booking if you are unsure if your dog fits the criteria.
Will we have the property to ourselves?
Yes, the house is entirely yours to enjoy during your stay. There are no shared spaces with other guests. The basement (which is only accessible from the outside) remains empty and locked at all times (i.e. you do not have access to the basement but the main level and upper level offer plenty of room to stretch out, relax and feel at home).

We take cleanliness seriously at Creekside Basecamp. Between every guest, we give the entire place a top-to-bottom deep clean. We wash and sanitize all linens, towels, and blankets so everything feels fresh and hotel-crisp. What's the parking setup and do I need 4-wheel drive to get to the house?
You definitely don't need 4-wheel drive to reach Creekside Basecamp - any regular car can make it just fine. We've got plenty of parking with two spacious driveways that can easily fit several cars and motorcycles, plus there's even a spot for RVs if you're bringing the big rig. There's turnaround space for a trailer. You'll find all the detailed parking info in your welcome guidebook once you book. Easy access, plenty of space - we've got you covered.

Great stay here in the Nantahala Forest. Very comfortable and updated cabin. The owner obviously put a lot of time and effort to make the cabin as user friendly as possible. Some examples include providing blankets in the living room and towels for the hot tub. Damian was super communicative and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of great activities close by for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Damien was an absolutely fantastic host. In all my years of staying at Airbnbs, I’ve never had a host who was more responsive, accommodating, or genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. Two creeks come together just behind the deck, and the peaceful sound of the flowing water instantly melts away the stress of everyday life. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and unwind. The home really sells itself, but Damien’s thoughtfulness and exceptional hospitality take the experience to another level. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and addressed even the smallest issues quickly and graciously. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with an outstanding host.

A beautiful cabin on two gorgeous mountain streams. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Access to the streams was unfortunately quite difficult due to retaining walls.
Damien was an excellent host from the very first communication. His home was beautiful and well equipped, in a truly unique setting. There is plenty to do…and ample opportunity to relax. I was sorry to see our stay end, we could have easily stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin and really enjoyed our vacation here with our two pups. The home is as described, very clean and comfortable. The creek is so beautiful, and having the hot tub right beside it made for such a relaxing experience. One small note for guests with dogs: the cabin sits fairly close to a road. It’s not extremely busy, but cars do pass by at a pretty quick speed. At other Airbnbs we’ve stayed at, we’ve felt comfortable letting our well-behaved dogs off leash, but because of the road we chose to keep them on leash here. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful creek home in Franklin. Seeing and hearing the creek each day was incredibly peaceful and made the trip feel like a true mountain getaway. The home was clean, comfortable, and worked perfectly for our family with toddlers—it was exactly the relaxing vacation we needed and gave us some really special memories. The location was ideal: tucked away enough to feel quiet and serene, yet still close to everything in town. Damian was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and great with communication whenever we had a question. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely love to return.
