This was an amazing place to stay!! The home was private and the setting was serene. In a market where many young people are buying homes, filling them with crap from Target and Walmart and portraying them as "luxury", this was the real thing!! The furnishings were beautiful and the decorations were very nice. We've stayed at over 30 airbnbs, and this place set a new standard for us. I would love to stay again.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in North Carolina. The location near the creek was peaceful and serene—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We spent so much time on the deck just enjoying the wonderful sound of the water. The house was spotless and well cared for, with everything we needed. Even lots of useful baby items (high chair, baby bath seat, baby spoons, etc…) that was a huge plus for us with a 7 month old. The host was kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Check in was super easy and host was very informative on how to get there, how to get in, and things to do near by. Highly recommend!

We stayed with Damien last year at his Creekside Hideout property and were caught by Hurricane Helene on the last day of our trip (also an amazing property). I cannot say enough about Damien and his response to questions or concerns. He truly wants you to relax and enjoy your vacation. I mentioned having a Keurig coffee maker and magnifying mirror in my last review, and they were both there for me on this visit. I was just blown away. This place is very private. Total seclusion. When you are at the house connected to Starlink the reception is perfect. However, any cell service other than Verizon, may struggle until you get closer to town. I anticipated this, and saved offline maps to the locations we needed to see. It is an incredibly beautiful property. I will definitely return. The creek was beautiful. It has multiple waterfalls. The roar of the water might compete with the sounds of forest animals so be attentive to pets and children. There is so much I can say about this Airbnb, but I will keep it short and sweet like our one night last minute stay was. I booked the place last minute with a few of my friends and all of our kids. We grew up together and it is extremely hard for all of us to get together much less with all of our children. We felt so welcome in the home and they really put a lot of effort in into making the place accommodating as well as beautiful. The outdoor scenery and the sound of the water flowing is unmatched. The house were extremely communicative and ever so kind. We will definitely be back and recommend this spot to anyone we know coming into town.

We had a great stay at Damien's home. The home was spacious and cozy. The home had everything we needed and included bathroom essentials. Damien gave a lot of helpful information ahead of time with recommendations for.places to visit in Franklin and options for groceries. Damien was very responsive and accommodating. We hope to return another time and enjoy longer.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this Airbnb! The deck and the creek were our favorite parts about the property. Damien is an excellent host. He’s quick to respond to messages and provides plenty of information for guests about the rental. This is the perfect place to stay whether it be for a quick weekend getaway or a lengthier trip.

WOW, another amazing week away !!! my 2nd stay at a 2nd location with the same host, Damian Rosen … my experience was everything listed and even more immersive in the experience by the guide books written by and provided by our host. Damian wanted our stay to be the best stay for us … this home sits on a creek up a winding drive with great views and sounds of water and wildlife, even found some delicious wild berry plants … the house is super clean, great layout for our group, balcony off every level, well lite and safe at night… if every host was as conscious, i’d use airb&b even more .. i look forward to my next stay at a Damian hosted home …

This is a great house. Very spacious and the floor plan is awesome. Lots of woods and a creek to explore while you’re there. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was much better stocked than any other rental we’ve done. This is a relatively short drive to Franklin and within a couple hours of more touristy spots like Asheville and the Park. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a low key get away.

This was a beautiful house and a beautiful property. We loved the the creek beside the house and the how beautiful the property looked with all the trees surrounding the area. The host are very responsive and accommodating. Honestly the best Airbnb I’ve been to since I started using Airbnb

Damien’s home was perfect for our family of 5. Enough good things cannot be said about the host as well as the home. Although we were not in town for a vacation Damien’s home sure made us feel like we were on one. While at the home we felt at peace in nature and could really shut our self off for a little while and that was exactly what we needed. Having lived in Franklin for 10yrs I can tell you with certainty if you’re looking for a mountain experience or to experience what Franklin is all about Damien’s home is the perfect home to have that experience! I was blown away by this mountain retreat by the water. Nothing’s more relaxing than waking up in a comfy bed next to a rushing creek and the soft light of a serene forest. This beautiful home is clean and spacious with all the details thought through. The internet was reliable and speedy enough for remote work and the kitchen was ready for big family meals. After a long day hiking the hot tub was soothing. Damien communicated well and made the stay a breeze - he’s clearly an experienced host. I can’t wait to go back. We had the best stay at Damien’s creekside villa in Franklin. Communication was clear, consistent, and helpful. The villa was welcoming as soon as we stepped foot inside the door and the extras and special little touches were unmatched. The property is absolutely beautiful and we felt lucky to capture its beauty in both sunshine and snow. Damien provides everything you need and more. The villa is located 5-10 minutes from anything you need and is just up the road from a well maintained park along the creek. We loved running laps and our kids loved the playground. We would absolutely encourage anyone viewing this listing to just end your search for a place to stay and book this property!

We had an amazing stay at Damien’s Creekside Hideout! The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The creek out back was absolutely awesome, peaceful and fun to explore. There’s so much to do nearby too, from hiking and waterfalls to great local restaurants. We even had the pleasure of meeting Damien for a quick minute, he’s incredibly nice and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He provided a pack and play, baby bathtub, high chair, and even baby plates and utensils for our little one, which made traveling with an infant so much easier. Communication was great, and he was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place, we’d absolutely stay again!

The house and area were so peaceful, but with plenty to do to keep you entertained if needed. We hated to leave! highly recommend for anyone looking for a creekside/mountain getaway!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the water very much! If I had any drawbacks, it was the traffic noise, as we live on 15 acres with no noise; however, after the first day, you heard nothing but the wonderful creek below. I would definitely stay here again. I could not have asked for a better host than Damien. Everything was absolutely top of the line! Thank you so very much for our visit and allowing our fur babies to enjoy the time with us; it meant the world to us! I actually caught a rainbow trout and a speckled brown trout; a first for me. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Creekside! The house is beautiful and there is a shallow moving stream in the backyard that the kids loved to play in. We look forward to visiting again!

We loved the porch and playing in the creek. The house was in great condition and just as the listing described. During the summer the fireflies were fun to watch. The house is next to Hwy 64 so it's easy to travel to the surrounding towns.

We highly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the covered screened in porch, as it rained for much of our stay. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Damien is helpful and friendly and responded quickly. Overall this is one of the nicer Air Bnb's we have stayed in. We will definitely be back and stay at one of his properties in the future.

We really enjoyed this stay for our adventurous 2 year old. The town was close with nice restaurants and we visited the Saturday Morning Farmers Market during our visit. Lovely home, host, and surroundings!

Damien was an amazing host. Made us feel so welcomed . We had never fly fished before, Damien recommended Ernie to help us , who was also a great. We caught our first fish with fly rod. Thanks to his recommendation. The house was very clean had everything we needed. I hope to come back next year. One of our most relaxing vacation ever.

Loved our love stay here as it felt like you a living in Appalachian safari because lots of deer, mink, peacocks, rabbits, eagles and more visited the property regularly. The river and surroundings offer the feeling or remote tranquility but the super fast skyline internet and town 5 minute drive away mean you are still close to civilization.

I work remote and rented Damien's home for a month to disconnect and get away from big city life for a little, and it was the best decision I've ever made. This airbnb was perfect for me and my pup. It has a creek and hiking trail on the massive property which makes for extremely pleasant dog walks. I never had an issue with the Starlink wifi (and I had a lot of devices connected and take zoom meetings all day) while the home is super private and secluded, the town of Franklin with everything you need is less than 10mins away. No complaints about this house or homeowner, one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever and I will definitely be returning in the future. 10/10 would recommend!

Damien was nothing short of a top tier host. He demonstration professionalism, kindness, excellent communication and insight. This gave my family a seamless stay! We visited during a rare NC snow storm, so we did not get to enjoy the outdoors but the property looked wonderful from the window. Nice weather would be an extra treat at this place! We did although enjoy the fireplace at night! Damien’s place was great for us and had everything we needed as well as great small detailing that made it even better! This is a secluded spot but yet right off the highway! If youre considering booking in Franklin, you can book with confidence with him!

Place was amazing! Super clean and the property was just as the pictures. Super low key( felt nice and quite in the woods) but close enough to everything in town to make it feel very homey. Would come back and recommend to anyone trying to explore the area!

Super responsive host! The location is secluded and just far enough out of town. The setting is beautiful with the backyard being the star of the show. We ate many meals back there! When we checked in there was a whole home stereo playing jazz music and we definitely made use of that feature. You won’t be disappointed with this stay. Longer stays get discounts too so that was an easy decision

One of the prettiest and most spacious properties where we have ever stayed. The views were spectacular and the sound of the large flowing creek was calming. Since the location was isolated, but safe, the nighttime stars were breathtaking. The house was clean and comfortable and the gas fireplace was perfect on those cool mornings and evenings. Damien was so helpful and communicative the entire time. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and everything was to our liking. The house is perfect and efficient and has everything you need. The creek was so beautiful and peaceful. The yard was nice and private and our dog loved romping around with the kids. There is a highway right next to the property although above the property so you don’t have to worry about kids/dogs getting into the road. Was a bit more road noise than anticipated but honestly was barely noticeable once we settled in. And it made for being super convenient to town and restaurants :). We really enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The home was absolutely beautiful. It was secluded, quiet, and close enough to the highway so there was easy access to town. The speaker system welcomed us with soft jazz upon entry. It was a short drive to town for groceries and easy access to the gem mines for those hunting treasure. With thick trees on three sides and a creek to the back-our dogs quickly acclimated to the property boundaries and ran and played untill they were ready for naps. We took our camp chairs to the creek one afternoon and sat in the water soaking tired toes in the cool water. The outdoor area was fantastic with both a charcoal and gas grill, and a beautiful screened in porch for evening dinners outside (minus the bugs). The hosts really thought of everything from spices, condiments, and cookware-there was very little we needed to supply. The beds were extremely comfortable and the internet was fast and reliable. Damien and his staff stayed in constant contact during the arrival of Hurricane Helene.

It’s a beautiful place on a beautiful creek and a great value for the price. Our host Damien keeps it in great shape with all the listed amenities ready to go. Damien is a super- attentive host who cares hugely about his guests. For example, even though I made a planning error and booked the wrong dates, he offered a solution that worked. He also was very responsive during our stay—yes I was a high maintenance guest on this one I’m afraid. But Damien was a pro for us. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time during our 30+ day stay at Creekside Hideout! We have stayed in over twenty rentals in the last year and a half and Damien is one of the best hosts we have worked with. Damien was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made sure our stay was perfect. Super Host Extra! The location was perfect, right off the highway, so we could get into town quickly, yet tucked away in a 4-acre wooded area on the Cartoogechaye Creek. The house was spotless, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It had all the amenities we needed, a well-equipped kitchen, gas and charcoal grills, where we cooked many meals and ate outside in the screened porch. Plenty of wildlife and our time spent floating and paddling down the creek or trout fishing was therapeutic. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Franklin. Cannot wait to come back!

Creekside Hideaway Everything about this house was awesome and the landscaping was beautiful. It was relaxing swinging by the creek and lounging on the deck. We will definitely use this house for another getaway. Thank you Damian for being an excellent host.

My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here! The location was beautiful and quiet but my kids LOVED exploring the area and loved the bunk beds. We will be keeping this place in mind next time we are in the area which hopefully very soon! Cannot recommend this place more.

This was a great find. The creek in the backyard was so nice to have. We did some fly fishing and caught 3 trout. The house was great and was centrally located for our week of day hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Was close to downtown Franklin.

Loved everything about our stay at the Creekside Hideout! Instructions were clear (from directions to keys to checkout and everything in between). Damien was the best host we’ve had with an airbnb - superb and pleasant communication, and provided us with some options for firewood so we could enjoy the fire pit (without using all of his available wood). The property is beautiful - looks exactly like the photos provided. My favorite part was opening the door upon arrival and hearing the jazz music floating through the speaker system (the lights were on as well) - felt warm and inviting. Would definitely stay here again while visiting with our son at WCU (the Creekside Hideout is about 30 minutes from the WCU campus). This was my first time renting an Airbnb and I couldn't be happier to have chosen this waterfront property. It's clear why Damien is a "superhost". He was quick to respond and thorough. The property was better than pictures show, and experiencing the flow of water in person was ​both relaxing and refreshing. The home was spotless, homey and offered everything I needed (plus a few things I didn’t even know I needed but appreciated). The fire pit was creekside and a perfect way to end the day. We loved being close to town and in our own world while at the house. The guidebooks he put together were very helpful - check them out even if you already have your North Carolina vacation plans organized! We look forward to coming back to Franklin and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Highly recommend creekside! Our family had plenty of space, and it was very easy to get settled in. The house is very clean as the pictures suggested. Best feature was the creek - it’s so serene to hear the rolling water and helped provide for deep restful sleep! Absolutely gorgeous at a very reasonable price. Hoping to come back in the summer.

Creekside Hideout was exactly as described and so very welcoming! The pictures don’t do it justice! The home was wonderful; comfortable and inviting! The property is amazing! We could’ve spent our whole trip just hiking the property! The creek is so soothing to hear, and so close! A great place all around - we definitely plan on visiting again.

Damien’s place is a peaceful retreat that has all the bells and whistles super nice with a beautiful running creek a large back deck and screened in porch will definitely be back and the host is super responsive and flexible with check in and worked with me on our early arrival !

We had a lovely stay and Damien is an excellent host. We were not expecting to be so close to the highway, but enjoyed being by the creek and having a nice big yard. Franklin is a nice town with easy access to fishing, golf, great hikes, and beautiful drives.

I had to do a lot of soul searching on this review - and I hated to "ding" the cleanliness part because what we found was not their fault - AND he immediately sent his cleaning crew in to fix the situation but I wanted also to leave an honest review. This place is absolutely beautiful and the water was so much fun - fishing right out the backdoor (trout!)... Damien's responses to our concerns were met immediately and he went out of his way to make it right. The location is fabulous - the roads are mostly dual lane and easy to drive - there is a chain grocery store within a few miles, and a Wal-Mart as well. Downtown Franklin was a gem! (almost literally as there are several gem mines also within a few miles).. be sure to visit the Scottish museum - we learned we are Campbells! never would have guessed.. But even with everything so close, you feel like you are miles from civilization and can just "chill".. Damien even followed up with us after our stay - he's a wonderful host.

We LOVED the Creekside Hideout! We played in the creek from sun up to sunset! Caught lots of beautiful trout! The property is like something out of a fairytale book! Especially when you’re out in the yard and the church bells sing! Everything was very nice! We had a great time at the house & it was in a great location to everything we wanted to do! We would definitely come back for a stay! Thank you!!!

Damien’s home is the PERFECT place to stay. The property is gorgeous with a lot of privacy and the hosts ensured there were plenty of homey touches. The location is convenient; close to Franklin’s adorable restaurants but also close to hiking trails, water falls, and camping. The host was very responsive and eager to help in any way he could. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will be going back myself when in the area again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Honestly the place exceeded our expectations. It was a short stay, but we had a great time. Took a lot of pictures near the creek created a bonfire and most important of all, created lots of great memories with the family. This house is in our list of places we would like to visit again. I can’t say enough how magical the stay was. While we were only there for a short time, it was exactly what was needed to unwind!

We enjoyed a long weekend at Damien's beautiful home. I loved spending my mornings listening to the creek and drinking my coffee on the screened in porch. The house is close to Franklin but feels secluded and very peaceful. We cooked spaghetti one night and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also ordered pizza delivery one night which was perfect for the kids. I would love to return when the weather is better so we can enjoy the outdoor areas more. Great family stay. Perfect for younger children and teens. Convenient location to downtown Franklin and lots of good hiking and waterfalls. House was very well equipped and clean. Lots of updated amenities. Creek is perfect as it has portions for younger children to walk and wade in and deeper for fishing.

What an amazing place and with such a great view of the creek. Owner has done a great job of adding the special touches to make our trip memorable. Everything we needed was there to make our trip relaxing and enjoyable! We will be back for sure!

Beautiful ambience, the property is wonderful. The accommodations in the house are great. My family felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The hosts are very accommodating and obliging. There is also a great community park with access to the river right across the road if you are looking to get out and be active without having to venture too far. I would definitely stay here again or recommend this place to others!

The creekside cabin was a wonderful mountain getaway ! The home sits on a beautiful piece of land tucked just off a main road about 1.5 hrs from the Asheville airport. The creek behind the home was magical and the snow melt and rain that filled it, made us feel like the creeks edge was at the the back door. It was incredibly relaxing to sit on the back porch and listen to the birds and feel the breeze. The cabin was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Everything you could need is available at Damian’s place ! The bed was comfortable and unlike many other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in, there were plenty of pillows! During our stay the weather was less than ideal so we put in one of the dozens of available dvds and played a game. Despite getting beat, miserably, it was really a wonderful evening where we were able to disconnect from life and just get some much needed r&r! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend anyone else to do the same!

We absolutely loved our stay at Creekside. My girlfriends and I came for some much-needed R&R, and this cabin was perfect for a peaceful getaway. It was beautifully appointed, the hot tub was fantastic, and the whole environment felt soothing to the soul. The bedrooms were spacious with lovely bedding, and the Ninja coffee maker with Caribou coffee was a delightful highlight. The remote location made it wonderfully quiet, yet we were still close enough to enjoy the charming shops and fun restaurants in nearby Franklin. Highly recommend!

This house is a gem, very secluded yet close to breweries and restaurants in Franklin as well as several great hikes and other outdoor activities. My friends and I were impressed and would certainly book again.

Immaculate inside, spacious with lots of natural light and very tastefully and comfortably appointed. This home is very clean and well maintained. In the mornings we enjoyed our coffee on the deck, in the evening we enjoyed our wine there as well. We celebrated birthdays while we were there. The host had beautiful birthday balloons waiting for our arrival. The host is an excellent communicator. Everything you need is there. The best air bnb we’ve stayed in yet!

My family group of cousins had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in and when we noticed a crack in the coffee carafe, the host was quick to deliver a new one. Damien was always responsive and catered to our needs. We loved the beautiful area and would love to come back! Damien has a beautiful place!

Beautiful secluded location!! Creek was a lot of fun for the kids and the entire trip was relaxing and peaceful. Lots of rules but we understand why they are in place! Host was great to work with and we had no problems overall. We appreciate we could bring one of dogs- made the trip feel more at home and welcoming. While this was my first time staying at Creekside, it will NOT be my last. The pictures don’t do this place justice {and the pictures hooked me to reserve this cabin}. Damien went above and beyond to exceed my high expectations, curating a personalized list of recommended activities for my family of three {dogs are people, too!} and I couldn’t be more satisfied, restored, and reenergized after our mini vacation. Beautiful cabin on two creeks! Very clean and well-stocked with nice decor. Host was fantastic to work with and provided detailed instructions and responses. The sound of the creeks was so relaxing, and with the windows open you could hear it throughout the house. Highly recommend!

Damien’s place was SO incredible for our family! We found everything we needed, wanted, and more at our fingertips. The views and sounds of the creek from the back decks and hot tub were absolutely perfect. Not to mention the incredible views from inside the home. Everything was perfectly prepared and cleaned for our arrival. All instructions were clear and helpful to prepare for our trip to a new area. It made us fell in love with the area and discover a new favorite NC mountain vacation destination. We truly felt at home and loved the space that we all had to walk the home and property and say can’t wait to see you again. Our entire family was able to access the creek and enjoy looking for cool rocks, enjoy the cold creek water by doing a cold plunge, or just sitting with our feet in the cold soothing water. I personally LOVED the cold plunge and can’t wait to do it again! There are some great spots in various spots of the creek to enjoy a quick dip or challenging plunge. Best STAY!!

Beautiful home we loved every minute of it. The water is so close. You can hear it all day and night. It’s so peaceful. The couch is extra comfy. You’ll be tempted to sleep there for an afternoon nap.

We had an amazing stay! The home is even more gorgeous than the pictures and the setting was heavenly. The location is perfect and in close proximity to Franklin and several other charming mountain towns. The host was very responsive and checked in with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I can’t wait for a return trip!

This was the MOST AMAZING Airbnb ever! It was breathtaking! The two creeks running right next to the property are so soothing and peaceful, we did NOT want to leave. There were lights on & music playing when we arrived & the sweetest note and goodies greeted us on the counter; we felt right at home. There were plenty of utensils & cookware provided, plus, the griddle on the stove & the outdoor gas grill allowed us to cook so many delicious meals. The house was spotless & the bed linens were great quality. I had the best sleep of my life that week! There were also plenty of towels & extra pillows, plus all the necessities, including soap, detergent pods, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner, which was wonderful. We had so many fun outings, but everyone looked forward to coming back to the Airbnb each day! The boys played in the creek and we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Due to my arthritis, the only negative I had was the stairs, but everything else was perfect! We will be back!!!

This place was beautiful! The sofa and blankets were all very soft and comfortable. The house was spacious and clean as well as easy to use well. The kitchen was really well stocked. It was rainy and chilly when we were there, so we didn't make use of the hot tub, but the fireplace and throw blankets were a welcome escape from the rain. This place is nestled perfectly at the intersection of 2 small creeks with the main creek running right beside the house. The views and sounds of the water are incredible from the spacious decks, the hot tub and even from within the house. The living, dining and kitchen spaces are perfectly laid out. (The girls on our trip especially loved that the couch was so cozy and large enough for us all!) All the beds are super comfy with nice linens and lots of pillows and blankets. The house is well provisioned with everything you can think of and more. We will definitely come back!!!

If you are intrigued by Creekside Basecamp, look no further. You have just stumbled upon one of the most magical, peaceful places you will find. You are embraced by the mountains, and the creeks sing to you all night long. Leave your troubles outside the front door. The home is immaculate, inviting, cozy and warm. The kitchen is fully stocked including a rice cooker and 5 qt crock pot. The beds are comfy and there are plenty of extra blankets to snuggle up with by the fireside. The Rhododendron are always green and if you listen the birds are always singing. You have an amazing gracious host that is attentive and lets you know that you matter, this is rare. Damien’s attention to details can be felt throughout the home and your stay.

Our stay at Damien’s cabin was amazing! We were a group of girlfriends on a much-needed getaway, and this home was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and immersed in the peacefulness of the place. The cabin itself is spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean. One of the highlights was the deck overlooking the rushing water below. Sitting out there with our morning coffee, listening to the soothing sounds of the stream, was pure bliss. In the evenings, despite the cold weather, we loved soaking in the hot tub under the stars, chatting and laughing while letting the warm water melt away any stress. We are looking to book it again in the future. 😊

This Airbnb is an absolute gem! The home is beautiful and cozy with all the amenities you could possibly need and the outside is absolutely breathtaking! Hearing the peaceful flow of the water through your our stay and being able to enjoy it outside on the deck was just perfect. Damien was also one of if not the best host I’ve ever worked with. He was kind, incredibly responsive and and absolute pleasure to work with. There were really no troubles at all but Damien went out of his way to make us feel safe, supported and free to enjoy his beautiful home! This place was literally heaven on Earth for our family. We came the day after Hurricane Helene (which I was understandably nervous about). Damien was incredibly communicative, letting us know exactly what to expect (cabin was perfect), but as nervous as I was - everything melted away the second I walked into this home. It was the perfect getaway for all of us, aged 4 to 65. The kids especially loved the “stupid cool” hot tub that overlooked the creek. The house was impeccable, communication from Damien was top notch, and the area could not have been more perfect. We will absolutely be back again.

This gem in the deep woods was everything a woodland retreat should be. Quiet, relaxing and mentally calming, this place had it all. The host was incredibly understanding and responsive to our hiccups along the way and this location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the smoky mountains. The location was quietly tucked away but within range of a seemingly endless amount of outdoor activities. Our batteries feel recharged heading back to our home from this vacation and I am certain anyone who visits here will feel the same. 10/10.

Our stay was an absolutely perfect getaway for my wife and old pup Jax, and workation for me. Internet was super fast for cabins/hotels I’ve stayed in for work previously. The property is absolutely beautiful and expertly laid out. The river joins two streams right into single stream by the porch, and hot tub was top notch. The house was excellent, well built, and super clean. Great kitchen to cook in. Love hearing the sound of the river in any room of the house due to being fully screened windows and doors. It was my first time booking, and I had a couple of questions and our host Damien answered with in minutes. It really made the process so much easier. The place was clean and peaceful. I had to book this last minute and had no idea what to do while there, so the part that I loved the most was having a “things to do” book guide with suggestions of stores, restaurants, and places with beautiful memorable views.

Everything was very comfy - the couch & lots of soft blankets & the bedding & pillows were new & quality… The kitchen was well equipped & big….. the beds were a little on the firmer side …. The hot tub was perfect ….we spread out & did one of the puzzles on the large dining table…. Opened the windows to hear the creek below…. The a/c & fans work, great, however one of the upstairs rooms got a little warm…. This is a wonderful place to stay…. We were very pleased & would definitely stay there again if we go to Franklin….

Our family was in need of a quick trip to the mountains to escape the heat of Florida for a few days! It rained a better part of the time we were in Franklin, BUT it actually made for a fun, cool time. We were still able to go Rafting on the Nantahala (NOC) and enjoy the creek behind the house. My most sincerest suggestion: Do NOT try to drive Wayah Road end to end if your brakes are bad! Wowza! But absolutely go out adventuring the road as there is enough to keep you busy just on the hikes close by the house. We picked a fresh bouquet of hydrangeas from the over-abundance of them in the backyard, had a hummingbird friend come visit us in the mornings, and enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the creek. Definitely recommend Damien’s home for a classic NC vacay.

Don't look any further, book NOW. I have too much to say to even know where to start. This property was absolutely incredible. Our family of 6 from flat landed Florida had a wonderful week listening to the rushing creek, flipping over rocks for salamanders & crawfish, watching all the pollinators enjoy the beautiful landscaping. There was never any boredom and when downtime was needed the internet was super fast and we never had any issues streaming from multiple devices. Highly suggest you walk up the road a bit to hike up to the waterfall. If you are adventurous like us, bring a swim suit to take a dip! We also rented a pontoon boat & went riding & tubing on Nantahala Lake (Lands End Marina, highly recommend!). SO FUN and SO beautiful! Bust Your Butt Falls is also a great adventure, even the drive there will be a thrill. Pottery @ Cowee Mountain Clay for some awesome souvenirs! I would have been content never leaving the property! The hot tub was enjoyable too!

I can’t overemphasize how much Damien & Ivette have meticulously planned every detail of their warm and welcoming home. They thought of everything, from the bottle of wine and handwritten card to the detailed guidebooks and recs for food and activities to offering to extend our stay and graciously welcoming our dog. They were extremely flexible & responsive hosts. It’s clear they care deeply about their space & guests. Their property is amazing and had the BEST vibes - huge bay window with crystals and deck overlooking the stream out back, excellent reading selection upstairs, guest log with wonderful notes from other guests, customizable lighting, and of course, the hot tub. Also, loveddd that u can crack the windows to hear the stream at night. This was a much needed getaway from the day to day grind for all of us. We booked as a last minute trip, but we will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend Graff’s Tavern in Franklin - food was the best we’ve tasted in a long time

Creekside Basecamp is perfect. Far enough away by the creek, but close enough to town for quick trips. We’ve stayed in this area for the last several years in other spots, but this one we are coming back to. The house is great for staying in. There is plenty of nature and space. The movies, books, games, and hot tub make this space a perfect cabin. Damien is great! Very responsive and thoughtful. He definitely wants to make you feel welcomed. We absolutely loved our stay. There were 6 of us. My husband and me, 2 kids (13&10), and my parents (70’s).

The kids loved playing in the creeks and were entertained for days! The house itself is very private and feels remote, but grocery stores and Walmart are still within a very short drive. You won’t be disappointed with a stay here!

Creekside is enchanting! The home was awesome... "smart" and with beautiful finishes. The creeks are absolutely amazing. They converge and , literally, run right beside the home. The sound is breathtaking!

our stay at creekside was exactly what we wanted and exactly as our amazing hosts shared.. we wanted a creekside private retreat and got exactly that !! the home was spotless and “came with” every detail we needed or wanted and more - the fire pit on the deck creekside, large and super comfy gathering area with a fireplace and views in every direction !! we all felt at home here - pillow options, blanket options, good basic toiletries, wood floors and spotless carpet in bdrms, coffee makers and tea pots, every kitchen tool and appliance and cookware we needed or wanted … kids had full internet access and steamed their movies and videos, i had access for work and the girls easily posted their days pics online 🤣.. Damien was responsive and extremely mindful of our needs… the costs where well worthy and competitive for all local options… super excited to visit again in the spring, definitely some summer time and most certainly see you in the fall ! Great start to our new year 👍

A very special, beautiful setting. We never left the house! Took a small hike nearby that was walking-distance from the house. The large kitchen and dining area were perfect for the 5 of us to cook and dine together. We kept the windows open the whole weekend, and let the fresh mountain air and creek sounds nourish our souls!

Beautiful home literally sitting on the convergence of two small streams. Very well supplied for cooking and enjoyment. Extremely comfortable master bed and bedding. Gas BBQ, gas patio fire pit and gas fireplace inside...used them all most days of our two week visit! Very close to multiple hiking trails and only 5 miles coming in on Old Murphy Road to downtown Franklin. We would definitely stay at Damien's place again.

Fantastic experience!!! We loved being on Wayah Creek. There is a waterfall walk across the street that looks like it has its own plunge pool. It was only a short drive to plenty of great hiking. The house feels more like a home than a rental—great HVAC system, comfortable bed with non-allergenic duvet, and luxurious kitchen, dining, and bath. The house feels private and peaceful—just the sound of the rushing creek. Sitting in the deck looking at the fall colors was a transcendent experience. Damien was always there when we had questions and engaging, too. We highly recommend Creekside Basecamp and hope to return soon. Of all the places we have stayed, this property was the best getaway for our needs. We loved the clear, comfortable, open space.

Damien was a fantastic host! His place was absolutely beautiful! All the furnishings were comfortable and great quality. The outside streams were spectacular because they ran right next to the house with rushing water sounds…. Great gas fireplace inside and also one outside on the porch. The kitchen was well stocked for everything you would need for cooking up a great dinner. They even have a bunch of spices in the cabinet so if you’re a great cook, most everything you could think of was there. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable and plenty of space for privacy. Creekside Basecamp is the best airbnb I have stayed in. The sound of the rushing water permeates the house and is so profoundly peaceful. I had some of the best sleep of my life. When not sleeping, the location is great for exploring all the great things to do in the area!

This property is located deep in the mountains in an incredibly beautiful area that has trails and waterfalls all around. The house is beautiful and open with a wonderful view of two creeks that meet right off the back deck. The only drawback is that there is practically zero cell reception, which we didn't mind at all using the wifi to keep up with any family/work communications. Overall this place and the town of Franklin make me want to move out to the Smokey Mountains. So if you want to literally disconnect, enjoy the sound of running water and see some absolutely gorgeous scenery while hiking around, then stay here.

Awesome place and host! Damien’s mountain cabin was the perfect central location for our trip. We were minutes from Nantahala lake where we fished and hiked, downtown Franklin which had great food, and multiple golf courses and other hikes. The two streams that converge off the back patio was icing on the cake. Highly recommend staying at this Airbnb!

Creekside Basecamp is a slice of Heaven! Damien is a top-notch host and made it clear he was available to ensure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. He communicated frequently and promptly and was very kind, pleasant and friendly. The property is tucked away, surrounded by the peaceful, rushing water of a creek. The grounds are scenic, covered by trees, bushes and other native plants. As soon as we entered it felt like home: very clean, modern, and creatively decorated inside. The large sectional in the living room is perfect for family and friends to relax, socialize and enjoy a good movie. The dining table is spacious and adjoins countertop seating in the kitchen. The area is open which makes it perfect to gather and talk while meals are being prepared. The kitchen is conveniently well-equipped with modern appliances and tools. All bathrooms and bedrooms were neat, clean and comfortable. Our only regret is we did not have ample time to fully enjoy Creekside Basecamp!

What a fantastic experience. From the quick booking confirmation, checking- in, actual stay, and check out. Everything was perfect, and the entire experience was seamless. The host Damien was extremely proactive. As soon as the booking was confirmed, he provided us with very clear instructions as to how to find the home, how to enter, and how to connect to the home Wi-Fi. The location is out of this world. It sits in the middle of the woods and right next to a flowing creek. It felt like a dream. The fresh air and the sounds of the flowing water in the creek were just so soothing. Beds were very comfy, and linens were clean and soft. The house is fully stocked. I really can’t think of anything that was missing. I will book this place again. The Creekside Basecamp offered a picturesque and serene backdrop to our New Year Smokies getaway. Damien was a phenomenal host with seamless communication and thoughtfulness. The property was very well appointed and had ever amenity that we could imagine. We had a fantastic time enjoying all the nearby hikes, indulging in breakfasts overlooking the creeks, and taking in the soothing sounds of the water over a glass of wine on the patio at the end of day’s adventures. We can’t wait to hopefully visit again sometime soon.

Location is amazing! We went on the hike suggested by Damien across the street from the house, perfect for little ones. Not far from downtown Franklin which is a sweet little town. The sound of the merging creeks is so relaxing. We loved drinking our coffee in the morning on the deck just enjoying the scenery and sounds. There is minimal service but that’s exactly what we wanted during our stay. It was nice to be unplugged for a bit. Damien made communicating easy and check in and a check out were so smooth (not to mention the sweet treats left for us upon arrival ☺️). I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Everyone in our group loved the stay.

Beautiful and tranquil setting

This is a magnificent place. The two creeks that converge just off the deck are bold and noisy and can be heard throughout the house. It's a magical place, engulfed by trees, mountain laurel and rhododendron lining both sides of the creeks. The house is lovely and quite comfortable and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped. I could make anything I chose to in the kitchen without needing a thing. Damien has thought of everything to make your stay a wonderful and relaxing time surrounded by nature's glory. You will not regret booking this house.

This place is fantastic! The sound of the rushing water was so relaxing and magical. The location is really good, lots or outdoor and water activities within driving distance. Franklin was a very cute town, such a nice surprise. All in all, everything was great.

This cabin is very welcoming, has an amazing fireplace & the stream running through the property was perfect, I could sit out there & listen to the water all day. Has an amazing stay & host Damien was great, will definitely stay again or recommend this cabin to anyone in the area

Great location close to fun easy hikes and other areas. The creek out back is so peaceful and beautiful! House is perfect and cozy!

This is a great little cabin tucked away in a beautiful corner of the mountains. The sound of the creek will put you to sleep and chill of its waters will wake you up if you make an early morning plunge. Host was excellent and accommodating and the house had everything we need.

Great place to get away and relax. Home and environment is beautiful. Not a great location for doing work/school online activities. However, a wonderful place to unwind, relax, enjoy nature, and spend time with family friends. Highly recommend. Wonderful communication with Damien.

Absolutely a slice of heaven! Everything was perfect! This was one of the greatest getaways we've had and it even rained the entire time. You are surrounded in glorious nature with the two most vibrant creeks crescendoing over the rocks all around the house. You could almost reach out and touch the water! The house is immaculate and nicely stylized! Everything you ever needed was right there. Damien was extremely great at communication! We will be back!
